How long a turkey cooked and sealed kept in a refrigerator?
I bought a precooked turkey breast from the grocery Kroger store and it was cooked that day and kept under one of these heating plates with a large fire. I bought on Monday evening and gave him the final straight and put it in my refrigerator (not freezer). I intend to serve Christmas Eve evening, which is 4 days from when I bought it. I was told by store employees that unopened and sealed it Refrigerate for a week, but my sister said I should throw it away. She said Turkey should not be kept for longer than 3 days after cooking and refrigeration. Does anyone know who is right?
Your sister is wrong. Once cooked and sealed it will be easily stored for a week, most probably.
