are strongid paste and strongid nugguts the same thing?
because, well i have somebody instructing me through my first horse. and she told me the first day, her wormers are strongid paste and ivermectant. i always find ivermectant and never find strongid. so my dad was going buy the store and he stopped to buy to get strongid, but the 50 dollar nuggets! so i got instructer to just give her it so it doesnt go to waste so its worming time, and i have ivermectant, but even if she is on strongid daily, does she need paste?
Paste and the dailey pellets don't always kill the same worms. The paste kills most of them and the pellets are sort of an upkeep. Make sure that you give her a paste before you start the pellets, otherwise you won't be doing a lot with the pellets. We feed strongid to all of our horses who get grain (and my dad is an equine vet, so he would know), but if the don't get grain, they just get the paste according to our worming schedule.
